Northgate Resorts has completed the redevelopment of the former Williamsburg Campground into a Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, the brand’s fourth location in Virginia. The 80-acre property now includes updated RV and tent sites, expanded cabin and glamping options, and additional amenities such as pools, a splash pad, and recreational courts. A previously closed section of the campground has also been reopened.
The project reflects a broader industry pattern of operators acquiring existing campgrounds and converting them into branded franchise properties, a strategy intended to increase guest traffic and differentiate properties through themed programming and expanded amenity offerings.
