The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has created a new camping experience designed with off-highway vehicle riders in mind that will open this summer. Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park’s Pyrite Campground, the first DNR campground specifically designed for OHV users, is scheduled to open June 12, 2026. The campground features 24 campsites, each equipped with electric service and designed for pull-through use, making it easier for visitors towing OHVs on trailers. Camping is growing more and more popular, and Rogersville (Tenn.) has a new campground that will bring visitors to the area, according to The Rogersville Review. The Placer County (Calif.) Planning Commission approved a proposal to redevelop the Placer County portion of the Cisco Grove Campground into a resort-style camping and RV destination. Sarasota County recently closed on the purchase of a Venice property formerly known as. The Oct. 17 transaction marked the county’s 100th acquisition through the Environmentally Sensitive Lands Protection Program according to county officials. The 20-acre property at 4085 E.
