An RV campground in the southern Adirondacks (New York) could more than double in size. At its board meeting yesterday (Oct. 9), the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) approved nearly 360 new RV sites along the shores of Great Sacandaga Lake. Some on the APA board echoed public concerns about the campground’s impact, according to NCPR. The Blair City (Neb.) Council has approved conditional use permits that will allow for an RV park and an indoor storage facility on the east side of Highway 30 and the north side of County Road P26 on the south edge of Blair, according to the Pilot-Tribune & Enterprise. The Apache County Board of Supervisors worked through a full agenda at its Aug. 18 meeting, approving tax levies, health service contracts and a new development in Concho Valley. The board approved a conditional use permit allowing Country Club Properties LLC to move forward with plans for a 40-unit RV park in Concho Valley, next to the former golf course. The Planning and Zoning Commission had previously recommended approval with conditions to address traffic access, water usage, and community effects. Source

A new RV park is on the way to the Columbia (S.C.) area, and construction is already underway, according to WLTX. The project, Killian Road RV Park, at 234 Killian Road, is privately owned and was approved by Richland County last year. Crews began clearing trees on the site this past spring.
