A plan to develop an RV park on Bend’s forested southern fringe moved forward last week when the developer had most of a 13-acre lot cleared of ponderosa pines and juniper trees. Bend-based Kine & Kine Properties owns the land and intends to build the 176-space RV park and open it before the end of the year. More than 60 peopled filled the Animas Valley Grange this week for a neighborhood meeting held by the La Plata County Planning Department to learn details of a proposed luxury RV park north of Durango. Heyburn Planning Commission Approves Permit for Lucky Lake 208 RV Park

The Heyburn Planning and Zoning Commission gave a nod to a special use permit for Lucky Lake 208 RV Park near Interstate 84, exit 208, after a public hearing on Tuesday. Bedford Supervisors OK Lake Development

Two special use permits to develop a proposed RV site and other lakeside amenities in Moneta, VA were approved Monday in split votes by the Bedford County Board of Supervisors. Stewart Garland, of Richmond, with the services of Amy Seipp, of Accupoint Surveying and Design in Lynchburg, applied for permits to develop a campground site on two properties totaling 43 acres in Moneta. City of Sioux City Awarded $104,000 Grant for Campground Near Big Sioux River

The City of Sioux City has been awarded more than $104,000 in grant funding from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to develop a campground on the north side of the Sioux City Railroad Museum, adjacent to the Big Sioux River. Hospitality Firm Buys Iconic Surf City Campground for $21 Million

Lanier’s Campground in Surf City recently changed hands in a $21 million deal with buyer TRG Resorts, an outdoor hospitality company based in Florida. TRG officials said they plan to modernize and improve the landmark property, now called The Inlet at Lanier Pointe RV Campground. Gorges State Park Opens 13-Acre Campground

Thanks to funds from the Connect N.C. Bond Project, Gorges State Park will open a family campground on Saturday, Oct. 29, according to the Division of Parks and Recreation. The 13-acre campground features five camper cabins, 14 campsites and 16 tent campsites. The campground also has a modern bathhouse. Brantley Construction began work on the campground in August 2020, but material and labor delays slowed the project, according to a news release from the N.C.
