A 60-lot recreational vehicle park received approval from the Halifax County Board of Supervisors at a Monday evening meeting. Supervisors gave the final approval of conditional use permits for Woods Creek RV Park following favorable recommendations from the Halifax County Planning Commission. Misty Mountain Campground Plans Expansion

The Misty Mountain Camp Resort (MMCR) in Greenwood has asked Albemarle County for a special use permit to allow it to expand its facilities by adding 53 new RV campsites for a total of 179 sites, and to allow its cabins to be leased during the months of November through March, which was disallowed under prior permits. A five-space recreational vehicle park has opened at 38 A Road 5474 near Farmington. The Little Park, owned by Autumn von Flotow, offers internet, 30 amp electrical, water and waste hookups. Flotow stated in a news release that TLP nests on a cul-de-sac with quiet neighbors and is fenced and gated.
