Grand Opening Set for Osborne Campground in Elkader, IA
Clayton County Conservation will be celebrating the grand opening of the Osborne Campground early next month. The newly constructed campground is located south of the animal exhibit at Osborne Park, which is about five miles south of Elkader. Preliminary earthwork for the project began in November of 2023. Electric, water, and septic were installed in 2024. A shower/restroom facility was installed last summer, with final grading and seeding on the project site wrapped up last fall.
