  Knob Noster State Park will host a ribbon cutting for its newly renovated campground. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19. The campground had been closed for renovations but is now ready to go for the 2024 camping season.   Located on Little Daisy Lake, the family-owned business provides a variety of camping sites for visitors to the area. The Nevis Campground & RV Park, located just north of Nevis city limits next to little Daisy Lake, is growing. The business is owned by the Nicklason family of Nevis and has 29 RV sites with full hookups. An expansion of the campground is planned for later this spring. In a unanimous decision Wednesday evening, the Caseville Planning Committee approved the site plan for an RV Park that was presented by Jerald Ignash, who purchased three parcels of general business property off Michigan Avenue. During the public comment portion of the meeting, some spoke up with questions and concerns about bringing an RV Park to the area. The Havasupai Gardens Campground and the Bright Angel and Tonto trails at Grand Canyon National Park will reopen for public use on April 15. The areas were closed on December 1, 2023, for Transcanyon Waterline project construction activities. Plateau Point Trail, from Havasupai Gardens to Plateau Point, remains closed until June 20. A new “full service” RV resort opened just off Walnut Avenue near the Town Creek neighborhood in New Braunfels dubbed Camp Landa. The South Central Tennessee Tourism Association (SCTTA) came forward to the Moore County Metro Council with a proposals regarding Wiseman RV Park. The city came one step closer to having an RV park on March 26 when the City Council voted at its regular meeting to approve updating its code to allow for such use.
