Woodland’s effort to bring long-standing recreational vehicle parks into compliance with city code took another step forward Monday, May 5, as the City Council unanimously approved the first reading of a zoning change for Woodland Shores RV Park. The park, located on the corner of Millard and A streets bordering Lewis River, has operated since 1992 but was never zoned to allow permanent residency. The Wilds is officially open for summer and will celebrate the grand opening of its Hellbender RV Campground on May 30, offering a new way for visitors to experience the conservation center. Wildlife Prairie Park Planning Expansion That Will Include Campground and RV in Peoria, IL

Officials at Wildlife Prairie Park have announced a planned $1.5 million expansion project that will include a campground with room for 40 recreational vehicles. 25 News reports that the campground would be located on the west side of the park. Open Road Resorts (ORR) acquired AB Camping & RV Park, a 125-site RV park in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The acquisition marks the latest step in Open Road’s rapid expansion across the U.S., growing its portfolio to six properties in five years.
