Plans for a proposed RV park in west Duval County are moving forward after actions Dec. 5 by the Jacksonville Planning Commission. The commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of a rezoning (Ordinance 2023-0326) and small-scale future land use map amendment (Ordinance 2023-0325) for the project, which is along Brandy Branch Road north of Interstate 10 and west of the I-10-U.S. 301 interchange. Commissioners approved the special exception request for the RV Park in the Lake Avalon Rural Settlement. A decision on the Rex Grove RV Park led all November action taken by the Orange County Commission.
