Kampgrounds of America has filed plans with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a $2 million campground facility in Fredericksburg, Texas, expected to open in September. The 15,400-square-foot project will include an amenity center, rental building, gym, and wine bar, along with multiple pools and cabin accommodations. The property is described as the closest KOA location to downtown Fredericksburg, a market known for wine tourism. KOA operates more than 500 campgrounds across North America.
The project reflects continued expansion by national campground networks into tourism-driven markets, with amenity offerings increasingly positioned to attract family and leisure travelers.
