Open Road Resorts has acquired Elkhorn Creek RV Park in Frankfort, Kentucky, its first property in the state. Situated along Elkhorn Creek near downtown Frankfort, the campground offers full-hookup and creekside RV sites along with standard park amenities. It is located near regional attractions such as the Bourbon Trail. The acquisition brings Open Road Resorts’ portfolio to 11 properties across nine states.
The transaction is consistent with broader consolidation trends in the campground and RV storage sector, where multi-park operators continue to acquire established properties in tourism-oriented markets to expand geographic reach and diversify holdings.
