Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) welcomes Land & Leisure Management and the Floyd/Blue Ridge PKWY KOA Holiday to the KOA family of campgrounds, according to a release.
“Based in Virginia, Land & Leisure Management brings a strong background in real estate development and outdoor hospitality, paired with a genuine passion for creating spaces where families and travelers can connect with nature and one another. With a focus on elevating guest experiences and supporting the local community, the ownership team is well-positioned to ensure the campground thrives for years to come,” the release stated.
Situated just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd, Floyd/Blue Ridge PKWY KOA Holiday has long been known as a family destination that blends scenic beauty with a welcoming atmosphere. With the support of KOA, Land & Leisure Management will build upon that legacy by enhancing amenities, expanding offerings, and continuing to create a camping experience that highlights both the natural setting and the lovely Floyd community.
“What inspired us to convert to a KOA campground was the reputation KOA holds among campers for delivering consistent quality and a welcoming, family-friendly environment,” said Taylor Carwile of Land & Leisure Management. “We wanted to align our campground with a brand recognized nationwide for its high standards and reliable amenities. Partnering with KOA enables us to elevate our offerings and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience each time they stay with us.”
Campgrounds have a significant economic and cultural impact on local communities. According to KOA’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campers injected $61 billion into local economies in 2024, with the average camper spending $200 daily while camping. Campers are looking to experience the culture of local regions, with 27% of campers saying they are interested in visiting small towns, and another 27% drawn to food tourism.
KOA Holiday campgrounds are ideal base camps for exploring the area, or simply enjoying a fun-filled stay with plenty of activities. Whether for a longer getaway or an overnight stop, KOA Holiday campgrounds offer amenities and services that make every stay memorable. Each KOA Holiday offers full-service RV Sites with a KOA Patio® and Deluxe Cabins with full bathrooms.
The Floyd/Blue Ridge PKWY KOA Holiday is investing in upgrades that will set it apart, including a brand-new welcome center, significantly improved WiFi coverage across the property, enhanced recreational facilities, expanded children’s play areas, and new communal gathering spaces. The campground spans more than 200 acres, offering plenty of space for families, groups, and travelers to create lasting memories.
