The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has created a new camping experience designed with off-highway vehicle riders in mind that will open this summer. Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park’s Pyrite Campground, the first DNR campground specifically designed for OHV users, is scheduled to open June 12, 2026. The campground features 24 campsites, each equipped with electric service and designed for pull-through use, making it easier for visitors towing OHVs on trailers.
