An investor group plans to open a 184-site RV park next to the junction of two busy Southern California interstates this fall.

Grapevine RV Resort anticipates opening this fall with all 184 sites available for overnight use, according to Madison Fowler, operations and guest experience manager for W. Reyneveld Construction, Inc., which is building the park for the private investor group.

The whole park will be open, but there will be some amenities still under construction,” Fowler said of the southern San Joaquin Valley park, which is being built next to the intersection of Interstates 5 and 99, about 30 miles south of Bakersfield.

The 35-acre park will feature all pull-through sites, a swimming pool, and a clubhouse with a meeting room, catering kitchen and exercise facilities. The park will also feature a barbecue station equipped with two stainless steel gas grills, two sinks, and ample counter space for food preparation and cleanup.

Other amenities will include a playground, three dog parks, two pickleball courts, as well as separate laundry, restroom and shower facilities.

We just saw an opportunity to build a higher quality RV park with more luxury amenities,” Fowler said, noting that the park will have room to expand if demand warrants.

Wi-Fi service will be provided free of charge to overnight guests. High-speed wired Internet will also be available for purchase.
