Traveling park goers will get an opportunity to extend their stay thanks to Wild Adventures developing a 50-space RV campground this summer. The Lowndes County Commission gave the park the green light to apply for participation in the Georgia Tourism Development Act Program for the purpose of constructing a short-term RV park called the Safari Campground Resort. Halifax County Board Approves RV Park

A 60-lot recreational vehicle park received approval from the Halifax County Board of Supervisors at a Monday evening meeting. Supervisors gave the final approval of conditional use permits for Woods Creek RV Park following favorable recommendations from the Halifax County Planning Commission. Misty Mountain Campground Plans Expansion

The Misty Mountain Camp Resort (MMCR) in Greenwood has asked Albemarle County for a special use permit to allow it to expand its facilities by adding 53 new RV campsites for a total of 179 sites, and to allow its cabins to be leased during the months of November through March, which was disallowed under prior permits. A five-space recreational vehicle park has opened at 38 A Road 5474 near Farmington. The Little Park, owned by Autumn von Flotow, offers internet, 30 amp electrical, water and waste hookups. Flotow stated in a news release that TLP nests on a cul-de-sac with quiet neighbors and is fenced and gated. The Adirondack Park Agency unanimously approved plans for an RV campground on Great Sacandaga Lake in the town of Mayfield, though it brought up jurisdictional questions. Commissioners spent nearly an hour deliberating plans for an expanded state boat launch seven miles up the lake from the Mayfield campground. The Adirondack Blue Line, however, cuts off at the lake’s southern tip, giving the APA no say over the campground’s proposed dock and boat slips.
