A zoning change impacting 221 acres of county-owned property in Jefferson Proving Ground was approved by County Commissioners Thursday, to advance plans to develop a campground at Krueger Lake. Last year, our Southern Indiana Regional Development Authority awarded the county $3 million in Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI) funding for the campground, which is anticipated to develop 55 RV hookups in the first phase, and approximately 184 when completed. Fort Ord Dunes State Park Campground to be Built Along Monterey Bay, CA

A new campground and beach access project estimated to cost $33 million will soon begin at Fort Ord Dunes State Park on part of the 837 acres that were once an Army base but have been serving the public as a state park since 2009. The state park is located along the Monterey Bay west of Highway 1, adjacent to the cities of Marina, Seaside and Sand City. Anchorage Assembly Gives Go-Ahead For RV Resort in East Anchorage Downtown, AK

Downtown Anchorage is one step closer to getting an RV resort. The Anchorage Assembly passed an ordinance on June 24 authorizing the Anchorage Community Development Authority to begin developing the site in the eastern part of Downtown. Port Crescent State Park is set to reopen for camping on June 27 following nearly $5 million in improvements funded through federal relief dollars.
