Looking for a place to cool off for the summer? A new Texas Hill Country RV resort could be the perfect place to relax in downtown New Braunfels.

Camp Landa, a boutique RV resort that sits just on the edge of the Comal River, has officially opened on Friday, May 24, according to a news release.

“Our family is ecstatic to welcome the community and road trippers to our destination RV resort in picturesque New Braunfels,” said founder Stuart Blythin in the release. “I promise you, Camp Landa is luxury camping made simple. We’ve thought of it all so that guests and families can just show up and enjoy an elevated camping experience curated by our team of experts.”

The 30-acre property gives a classic “1960s vibe,” when road trips were the ideal vacation plan, the release stated. Camp Landa combines “classic hospitality and retro-inspired” design with excellent modern amenities for today’s travelers.

There is a heated pool, Wi-Fi, a camp store, a fire pit with s’mores available for purchase, pickleball and basketball courts, and cornhole boards, according to the release. The swim-up bar has tasty cocktails like the Camp Landa agua fresca and blackberry jalapeño margarita. For some eats head over to the cafe for food that includes rueben egg rolls and the Hurta loaded Bavarian pretzel that is topped with sauerkraut and Rust Meat Market old-world bratwurst.

Over 100 sites are available for families to pick from that have offerings like picnic tables and grills. Folks without an RV are welcome to book a stay in one of the five cabins that fits eight guests. A shuttle will also be provided to and from the resort to the river for the longest float on the Comal River, according to the release.

For a one-night weekend stay, an RV spot starts at $60 per night and can go for as much as $120, according to the booking website.

The cafe and other staffed amenities are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Camp Landa was designed by Open Studios Architecture, CoPoilot Creative, and True Design.
