A proposed upscale outdoor hospitality resort known as The Haven of Cadillac in Cadillac, Mich., could be one step closer to becoming a reality after an upcoming meeting next week, according to the Cadillac News.

That may be the case when the developers return to the Clam Lake Township Planning Commission on Monday (July 28) to formally request a Planned Unit Development overlay for the project.

The developers, Shelby and Ben Hastings of Beauvista Partners, LLC, envision the resort as a luxury, nature-focused retreat offering high-end “glamping” accommodations — a blend of glamour and camping — on a 70-acre parcel near Evergreen Golf Course, just south of Cadillac.

Plans for the resort include up to 64 glamping units, such as eco-domes and mini cabins, along with 85 upscale RV sites in later phases. However, Phase 1 focuses solely on glamping, with 15 to 20 units positioned centrally on the property to minimize disruption to surrounding areas.
