The Adirondack Park Agency unanimously approved plans for an RV campground on Great Sacandaga Lake in the town of Mayfield, though it brought up jurisdictional questions. Commissioners spent nearly an hour deliberating plans for an expanded state boat launch seven miles up the lake from the Mayfield campground. City of Sioux City Awarded $104,000 Grant for Campground Near Big Sioux River
The City of Sioux City has been awarded more than $104,000 in grant funding from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to develop a campground on the north side of the Sioux City Railroad Museum, adjacent to the Big Sioux River. Gorges State Park Opens 13-Acre Campground
Thanks to funds from the Connect N.C. Bond Project, Gorges State Park will open a family campground on Saturday, Oct. 29, according to the Division of Parks and Recreation. The 13-acre campground features five camper cabins, 14 campsites and 16 tent campsites. The campground also has a modern bathhouse. Brantley Construction began work on the campground in August 2020, but material and labor delays slowed the project, according to a news release from the N.C.
