The founders of Big Rig Friendly RV Resort in Columbia, S.C., announced the grand opening of Midpoint I-95 RV Park at Exit 180a, midway between Washington D.C. and Orlando, Fla., in Sellers, S.C., just an hour and 10 minutes from Myrtle Beach, S.C.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The grand opening was Sept. 12.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

D Melton, co-founder of both parks with partner, Chris Neeley, stated that the park includes a new 4,000-square-foot clubhouse that houses an office, general store, laundry, a gym, his and her showers and a large community room for family reunions and business gatherings.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The two partners are big believers in the winning business real estate formula of \u201clocation, location and location.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSince we\u2019re at Exit 180a just a few minutes off of I-95, we\u2019re halfway between Orlando, Fla. and Washington D.C.,\u201d shared Melton. \u201cSo, for people making their journeys up and down I-95, it\u2019s the perfect place to pull over, take a break and then continue their journey. Or, for those folks coming in and out of Myrtle Beach, we\u2019re just an hour and 10 minutes away. And we are just one exit north of a big Buc\u2019ees, always a big hit!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He said this new 81 campsite park is a mirror image of the Big Rig Friendly park with a few additional features.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMidpoint on 95 is now at 81 sites that are predominantly all pull-throughs that can handle the biggest rigs,\u201d he said. \u201cBeing extra-large pull-through sites, easy in, easy out, we accommodate those folks traveling up and down the I-95 corridor.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s a little bit different is we got a three-acre fishing pond there at Midpoint I-95. We\u2019ve got a lot of nature trails, the same size clubhouse, a dog park and playground,\u201d Melton added.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The partners continue to expand on the success of their Big Rig Friendly RV Resort in Columbia with the expansion of an additional 25 new sites at that location, as well.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe demand\u2019s still growing at Big Rig, too,\u201d said Melton. \u201cThis puts us at 212 sites there now and our bookings are very strong at both locations.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
