At its board meeting yesterday (Oct. 9), the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) approved nearly 360 new RV sites along the shores of Great Sacandaga Lake. Some on the APA board echoed public concerns about the campground\u2019s impact, according to NCPR.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Great Sacandaga Lake, on the southern edge of the park, is one of the busiest lakes in the Adirondacks during the summer tourism season.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">For 55 years, the Sunset Bay RV Park in the Fulton County town of Mayfield has been able to host 283 campers along the southern shore of the lake.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Now, the owner of that campground wants to add nearly 360 new RV sites.
