A new campground next to the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion has officially opened.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The brand-new RV campground, which offers a total of 66 spots, will allow more event holders, participants, and attendees to stay on-site during multi-day events at the pavilion.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Each site is fully outfitted with water, sewer, power, and broadband.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to Marion County Public Relations, funding for the campground was a joint venture between the county and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, with the latter providing grant funding that covered more than 30% of the construction costs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The county expects the campground to generate over $1 million in revenue by its fifth year in operation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Pavilion Manager Christen Milligan stated that the new RV campground is \u201ccertainly a long time coming.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Milligan added that the campground\u2019s additional space will lead to more event participants and larger sponsorship opportunities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the campground\u2019s increased size is expected to attract more visitors to the pavilion, thus increasing the facility\u2019s economic impact on Marion County.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
