Phantom. The RV Park may be good news to some but not everyone shares the same excitement.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">A resident who lives approximately 3\/4 mile away from the lake attended the city council meeting and expressed his beliefs about the lake being an eyesore.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">I don\u2019t know if you all spend your vacations or your weekends at Ft Phantom. I doubt it because we\u2019re not known for a beautiful lake.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The concerned resident believes nothing good will come from building an RV Park.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">We have a very ugly lake, a very undeveloped lake. It\u2019s pretty much an eyesore all the way around the lake. This RV Park will do nothing to developing and an environment where someone would want to visit our lake.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The resident expressed concerns that the RV Park would decrease the value of the surround area.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Nobody is going to develop around an RV Park. Nobody wants to put a nice house there. Nobody wants to put a business, or maybe a resort where you can see that RV Park.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Cedric De Bourbon-Poisson who owns the lot where the future RV Park will be built is hoping the park will attract tourist.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">We are dedicating over 7 acres of our property to create an open wildflower meadow,\u201d De Bourbon-Poisson said. \u201cThe meadow will serve as a sanctuary for butterflies and birds. Providing a unique educational experience for families, local schools, and tourist.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Lesli Andrews the director of Parks and Recreations says they are working on a plan to beautify Lake Ft Phantom.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">On Mar 28th we\u2019re going to be doing and open house at the Health Department in their conference room from 5:30 to 7:30. We want to hear from as many people as we can about what they would like to see at Ft. Phantom.
