In 2022, Foley was the second-fastest growing city in Alabama, with a 6.5% population increase; Gulf Shores was the seventh-fastest growing city in the state, with a 3% population increase the same year.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Baldwin County Planning and Zoning Commission will consider Blueberry Fields, a proposed 58-lot subdivision planned along County Road 12 and Magnolia Springs Highway. The developer, Greg Kennedy, a former Gulf Shores city councilmember and member of the Board of Directors for Gulf Shores Utilities, is requesting preliminary plat approval for the subdivision.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Kennedy says that he hopes Blueberry Fields will help meet the needs of a growing Baldwin County. The subdivision site is in a really good location, he argues, with around 100 blueberry bushes on the property.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">It sits in Planning District 21, down the street from the Hawthorn and Summercrest subdivisions, as well as some sod farms.
